Were Yeshua's arguments with the Pharisees arguments within Jewish life?

Yeshua's sharpest words in Matthew 23 land on specific Pharisaic practices, from inside a shared framework of Torah authority — and Paul, decades later, still calls himself a Pharisee in the present tense before a Jewish council (Acts 23:6).
