Jordan Lavender is an independent scholar researching the place of Paul and his writings within Second Temple Judaism.

I’ve been on a journey to discover the Jewish roots of Christianity and the place of the New Testament as a Jewish collection of writings. I have my PhD in linguistics from the University at Albany, SUNY and studied bilingualism formally. I taught myself biblical languages and read on Paul within Judaism enough to publish my first article in 2023. I’ve published around fifteen articles on various aspects of the origins of Christianity within Judaism. I’m an independent scholar, meaning I don’t have institutional affiliations related to biblical studies. This allows me to present the facts as they exist without any pressure.
