How should I study the Bible?

The short answer

Like a Berean: take it to the text yourself, check every teacher against Scripture, and start from the original language and context rather than someone else's conclusion.

The full answer

Like a Berean. In Acts 17:11, a group called the Bereans is praised because they checked the Scriptures every day to test what even the apostle Sha'ul was telling them. They did not just take his word for it; they went and looked for themselves.

Do the same. Ask of every passage: what did this actually say, in its own language, to the people who first heard it? When a word carries the weight, look it up yourself in the Hebraic Word Study tool and see what the original says. Do not start with a conclusion and then go hunting for verses to back it up. Start with the text and follow where the evidence leads. And test every teacher, including this one, against Scripture itself.
